  • Artist Statement

    I was sitting in Piedmont park on a cool afternoon, there was ZERO wind. This kid was RUNNING and RUNNING with this kite trying to get it to fly. After about 5 minutes, I thought, "This kid has way too much energy" ...10 more minutes pass and I think, "Poor kid just isn't grasping the concept of how a kite works"... another 15 pass, "GEEZ, I wish I had that kind of dedication to follow my dreams despite the obstacles!"
