042 - Flow Of Life

"Dwell as near as possible to the channel in which your life flows."

- Henry David Thoreau

  • Artist Statement

There's a pond of koi fish not far from a walking path I often take. It's man-made, to be sure, and full of turtles and fish in an otherwise mammals-only park habitat, but it's hidden behind shops and restaurants, nestled away like a secret circular haven. It feels natural to make this the end point of a walk, watching the fish flow aimlessly and easily through these invisible channels. They crowd each other too much at times, disrupting the docile energy, but the overarching unforced aura remains - a peaceful microcosm where nothing is hurried.
