  • Artist Statement

    'Place' is the second piece of a three-part horse racing series released with the Fall Collection of 2009. Along with 'Show' and 'Winner!' it is a segment of one whole image, with a different quote on each tile. This piece lies between that "just made it" stage of securing Show (3rd position), and just behind the lead horse who takes home the win. Much success in horse racing comes down to the small tweaks, fine tuning the practice, the process, in order to edge out the competition.
